University of East Anglia, Norwich

Map of Norwich
(Norwich, Norfolk, England)

Norwich is a large city located on the eastern side of England, within the county of Norfolk, where it serves as the actual county town. The city has slowly expanded over the years and boasts a population soon to exceed 400,000 people, with the suburbs of the city now including a series of outlying towns, such as both Costessey and Hellesdon.

The campus for the University of East Anglia lies on the western outskirts of the city, close to Colman Road (A140). Students looking to stay off-campus will find a good selection of houses and flats available to rent within the neighbouring districts of Bowthorpe, Eaton, New Costessey and West Earlham. Of note, landlord insurance does not usually cover personal effects, and so student insurance may be required. This should be taken into account when calculating overall rental costs.

Those keen on playing golf will be pleased to find a number of courses close by, such as the Bawburgh Golf Club, the Eaton Golf Club and the Royal Norwich Golf Club, while if you are simply looking for a recreational space, then Eaton Park is the place to head. On the eastern outskirts of Norwich, the famous Norfolk Broads are well worth exploring when you have the time.
